"Culture is communication and communication is culture."
Why study culture in a Communication class?
Edward Hall's statement above sums it up nicely -- Every time you communicate, you do so according to the rules and norms of your culture(s). Culture influences everything you see, do, feel, and think. As will be discussed in this class, culture is inescapable and will always be a part of who you are and the way you understand the world around you.
